How to download
and install service packs
To
download the service pack:
- Click on the 'download' beside the file you want to download. This
will bring up a "Save file" dialog box similar to this
one:

(This screen will vary depending on the web browser
you are using)
- Click OK and select the folder that you want to save it to.
- Run the .exe file through Windows Explorer by double-clicking
on It.
Running a service pack:
-
Store the service pack in a place that is easy to locate.
As Service packs may install new software you should be logged in
as a user who has sufficient security rights to do so. If you are
unsure you should log in as either Administrator or someone with
Administrator privileges.
- Make sure Chreos Client and Server are not running on each machine
you update.
- Start with the machine running Chreos Server double click the
service pack to run it.
- Press the 'Update' Button.

- Wait for
the process to complete than move to the next computer.
- Once computers are updated restart Chreos Server. This will often
automatically run a database update phase. This can take some time.
Notes:
Often the service pack will perform a database update. This can
take some time so try and schedule your update for a time where
users will not need to use Chreos. If at any time an error occurs
you should contact Wild Software for advice.
You must have a current license to install a service pack.
