The General Ledger (GL) analysis tab provides a simple way of viewing transactions for a selected account. This tab has two general display modes 'Transactions by period' or 'Balance at end of period'.

Transactions by period

This mode displays, for the selected account, the total value of transactions in each period this financial year contrasted against the same period of the previous financial year. The budgeted figure, if any, for each period this financial year is also displayed. With the click of a button these values can be graphed in both 3D or standard mode.

Items in bold show for incomplete periods (current or future). This data can, like most Chreos grids, be printed, saved or opened in a spreadsheet by right clicking it.

Balance at end of period

This mode displays a running total of the transactions for the selected account. As above the total is for each period this financial year contrasted against the same period of the previous financial year. A running total for budgeted figures, if any, are also displayed. With the click of a button these values can also be graphed in both 3D or standard mode.

Searching

An important feature of both grids above (Fig 1 and Fig 3) is that double clicking any cell in the 'This year' or 'Last year' columns takes you the account transaction history tab zoomed to just this periods data.
